How to Make Crock Pot Cinnamon Bun Casserole
This crockpot cinnamon roll casserole recipe couldn’t be easier. Just a little chopping and mixing, then let the slow cooker do the rest.

Lightly spray the bottom of the crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.
Pour milk into the base of the slow cooker and set aside.
In a mixing bowl add quartered cinnamon rolls (set icing aside for later), maple syrup, melted butter and ground cinnamon. Mix carefully then transfer to the slow cooker.
To help with condensation add a couple paper towels tightly on top and secure with the lid.
Cook on LOW for 4 hours. Enjoy warm with the packaged icing.
Hint: For a crispier top, prop the slow cooker lid open slightly with a wooden spoon during the last 20-30 minutes of cooking. This helps release excess moisture without over-baking.

Recipe Tips
- Slow Cooker Type: A ceramic slow cooker insert and oval slow cooker work best to ensure even cooking.
- Condensation Control: Don’t skip the paper towel layer, it helps avoid a soggy casserole top.
- Cut Evenly: Keep the cinnamon roll pieces roughly the same size to ensure consistent cooking.
We love to pair this with a savory side like our Bacon Wrapped Sausage.

A 6–7 quart oval slow cooker works best for this recipe. Smaller models may require more cooking time.
That’s common with slow cooker recipes. Use a layer of paper towels under the lid to catch drips and protect the top of the casserole.
