Ingredients
8ounceswhite chocolate melts
24pretzel rods
Christmas sprinkles
Instructions
Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper to use later.
Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each, until smooth.
Dip the pretzels into the melted chocolate, gently tapping the edge of the bowl to remove any excess. Place the pretzel rods on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Decorate with Christmas sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet so they stick.
Let the chocolate set completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator before serving.
Notes
Don't Overheat the Chocolate: Microwave in short intervals and stir well each time. Once only a few small pieces remain, continue stirring and let the heat melt them.
Decorate Right Away: Add the Christmas sprinkles before the chocolate coating begins to set so they stick.
Let the Excess Drip Off: Gently shake or tap each pretzel after dipping to prevent excess chocolate from pooling.
Work in Batches: Dip and decorate a few pretzel rods at a time so you aren't racing against the chocolate as it sets.
Transfer the Chocolate: Pour the melted chocolate into a tall, narrow glass or cup to make it easier to coat more of each pretzel rod.
Room Temperature: Store the pretzel rods in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 1 week.
Refrigerator: You can refrigerate them to help the chocolate set, but I prefer to store them at room temperature, so the pretzels stay crisp.
Gifting: Once completely set, package them in cellophane bags or holiday treat boxes for an easy homemade gift.
