- 8-10 cups seedless watermelon chunks
- ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- ¼ cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- water as needed
- simple syrup optional
In batches, add watermelon to a blender and run until smooth.
Strain into a large pitcher. Alternatively, strain into large spouted measuring cup first, then strain a second time directly into your serving pitcher.
Depending on the natural sweetness of your watermelon add any water needed. Then add lemon and lime juice and stir well with big spoon.
Taste and add simple syrup (or granulated sugar) if desired. Stir again.
Serve immediately into a glass full of ice or store in the fridge until needed.
- While it is optional, we recommend double straining for an extra smooth texture.
- The juicier and sweeter the watermelon, the better the flavor.
- Watermelons can vary in their sweetness, so you may not need added sugar.
- Cold watermelon blends into an instantly refreshing drink; chop your watermelon and place it in the fridge first if you have extra time.
- The lime juice and lemon juice add depth and balance.
