Equipment

  • Slow Cooker
  • Measuring Cups

Ingredients

  • 2 8- ounce bricks cream cheese cubed, divided
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded, divided
  • 8 slices bacon chopped and cooked (about 1 cup)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 6 jalapeños seeded and minced

Instructions

  • Add half the cream cheese and cheddar cheese to the base of the slow cooker, then add bacon, sour cream and jalapeños.
  • Top with the remaining cheeses, cover and cook on low setting for 3 hours. Give it a stir halfway through if you can ensure everything blends smoothly.
  • Serve warm with your favorite chips or veggies.

Notes

  • If you have time, let your cream cheese come to room temperature. Softened cream cheese will blend in faster but is not necessary.
  • Leave in some jalapeño seeds for extra spice or remove them for a milder dip.
  • Hosting a crowd? This recipe easily doubles in a large slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle fresh green onions or cilantro on top of the dip for great flavor and color.
