Get Recipe Ingredients
Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper, leaving the sides high and set aside.
In a large pot over medium-low heat, melt butter, then add marshmallows and lower the heat.
Stir constantly, to prevent sticking, until almost melted. Remove from heat and if desired, toss in a few extra mini marshmallows.
Stir in Lucky Charms cereal, working quickly until evenly coated.
Transfer the mixture pan and press carefully in an even layer.
Allow them to cool in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes then cut the treats into as many individual pieces as desired.
- Melt Slowly: Melting marshmallows slowly prevents scorching and keeps them smooth.
- Work Quickly: Once the cereal is added, move fast to keep everything evenly coated.
- Press Gently: Lightly press the mixture into the pan to avoid dense, hard treats. Wax paper or greased hands help the cereal mixture from sticking to your hands.
- Cool Briefly: A short chill helps the treats set while keeping them soft and gooey.
