Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Microwave Safe Bowl

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces white chocolate melts
  • 20 Pretzel rods
  • Candy eyeballs

Instructions

  • Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each until smooth. Using a taller container makes it easier to coat the pretzels, you can transfer it after melting.
  • Dip each pretzel rod into the melted chocolate, gently shaking off any excess. Place the dipped pretzels on a parchment-lined baking sheet, then add the candy eyeballs while the chocolate is still soft.
  • Transfer the remaining melted chocolate to a small plastic bag and snip a small hole in one corner to make a piping bag. Drizzle the chocolate back and forth over each pretzel rod to create the mummy “bandages.”
  • Let the pretzels set completely at room temperature or transfer them to the refrigerator to speed up the process.

Notes

  • Don't Overheat the Chocolate: Microwave in short intervals and stir well each time. Often the last few pieces will melt just from stirring.
  • Add the Eyes Right Away: Press the candy eyes into the coating before it begins to set.
  • Keep the Drizzle Messy: There's no need for perfect lines. Drizzling the chocolate in different directions makes the “bandages” look even better.
  • Coat Evenly: Pouring the melted chocolate into a tall glass or mason jar makes it much easier to coat the pretzel rods evenly.
  • Room Temperature: Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 1 week.
  • Refrigerator: You can refrigerate them, but condensation can affect the chocolate coating and make the pretzels lose some of their crunch.
