Get Recipe Ingredients
In a small bowl whisk well the pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice and pure vanilla. Set aside.
Over medium heat, warm milk to 205F, stirring regularly.
Place the tea bags into the warmed milk steep for 5-6 minutes and squeeze the bags out at the end.
Pour into the pumpkin mixture and whisk well.
Serve with whipped cream and a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg.
- Don’t rush the steep time, this is where the bold chai flavor builds.
- It helps the pumpkin and maple syrup blend more smoothly if the ingredients are room temperature.
- A good whisk ensures you get a smooth latte with no pumpkin bits.
- Use a medium saucepan to give the milk room to steep without overflowing.
- Froth your milk before adding to the pumpkin mix for a café-style texture.
