- 1 18.3- ounce box brownie mix (plus box ingredients)
- 1 16- ounce refrigerated cookie dough
Preheat an oven to 350F and place your rack in the middle. Line a 7x11 glass baking dish with parchment paper, leaving the sides high for easy removal. Set aside.
Make brownie batter in a medium bowl according to the box, and pour into prepared dish (note: you do not have to spread the batter out, it will spread during the next step).
Place lightly flattened pieces of cookie dough and place them throughout the brownie batter. Push them in slightly.
Bake for about 40 minutes or until the brownies are cooked through and the cookies are golden.
Cool in the dish on a cooling rack until fully cooled before removing, then slice and enjoy.
- Don’t Overbake: Pull the bars when the center still looks slightly soft (moist crumbs with the toothpick test), they’ll continue to set as they cool for that fudgy brownie texture.
- Line the Pan: Use parchment paper with a bit of overhang so you can lift the bars out easily and get clean slices
- Even Layers: Spread the brownie layer evenly before adding the cookie dough so both bake through perfectly
- Cool Before Cutting: Let them cool for at least 20–30 minutes for clean cuts.
- Mix-In Fun: Add a handful of chocolate chips or chopped candy to the cookie dough for extra chocolatey goodness.
