Ingredients

  • 4 cups frozen strawberries
  • ½ cup margarita mix
  • ½ cup silver tequila 4 ounces
  • ¼ cup triple sec 2 ounces
  • salt if rimming
  • lime for garnish
  • ice for serving

Instructions

  • If rimming your glass, run a lime wedge along the rim of the glass and dip into salt on a small plate.
  • Add frozen strawberries, margarita mix, tequila and triple sec into a high-powered blender jar and run until smooth (note: thin as desired with additional margarita mix or water).
  • Pour into margarita glasses with some ice cubes for optional freshness. Garnish with extra lime wedges and fresh strawberries.

Notes

  • Using frozen strawberries helps create that perfect thick, slushy texture.
  • Make sure everything is fully blended to avoid chunks of ice or fruit.
  • Taste and add a little simple syrup if you prefer a sweeter margarita.
  • Depending on how many you need to make, try a half batch of one fruit, and a half bath of another and layer them on top of each other.
  • A chilled glass helps keep your margarita cold for longer.
  • Choose between a traditional salted rim or a sugar rim for extra sweetness. I like to do a combination to mix things up!
