Place white chocolate melting wafers to the base of the crockpot then add the peanuts. Cover and cook on low for about 1 hour, mixing once halfway (note: you may not need the whole hour).
Meanwhile, prepare a large baking sheet with parchment paper for later (note: you may need two depending on the size).
Allow it to cool for a couple minutes then add Reese’s pieces and stir gently to combine; they may crackle.
Using a 3-tablespoon cookie scoop, drop candy evenly spaced onto lined sheet, then add sprinkles and eyeballs if desired.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until set.
- To ensures even portioning use a cookie scoop, it helps the candies look uniform.
- Setting in the fridge allows it to harden faster but you will want to set them out before enjoying; they can get quite hard, so you want them to soften before eating.
- Stick to the low setting on your slow cooker to avoid scorching the chocolate. Stir gently halfway for even melting, and if you do not need the full hour, you can stop when fully melted.
- Look for white chocolate melting wafers or white almond bark with added vegetable fats— they melt smoother and set better than regular chocolate chips.
- Use a cookie scoop to portion the candy while it’s still warm. This helps form neat candy clusters that hold their shape once chilled.
- Add any sprinkles right after scooping so they stay put.
- When adding Reese’s pieces or any mix-ins to the slow cooker, fold them in gently to prevent color bleeding or melting, unless that’s the look you’re going for!
