Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen berries
  • 1 750 mL red wine semi-sweet
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup cranberry cocktail
  • ½ cup spiced dark rum
  • Club soda optional

Instructions

  • In a large pitcher add frozen berries, red wine, apple cider, cranberry cocktail, dark rum and stir well.
    2 cups frozen berries, 1 750 mL red wine, 1 cup apple cider, 1 cup cranberry cocktail, ½ cup spiced dark rum
  • Enjoy immediately or store in the fridge until ready to serve.
  • When serving, add ice to a glass, pour about ¾ full of sangria then top with club soda, if desired.

Notes

  • A variety of red wine like pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon or a blend of wine works well for this glass of sangria.
  • Letting the sangria chill helps infuse the fresh fruit and mellow the alcohol.
  • Serve with dry ice (in a safe container) or floating edible eyeballs for much fun and a perfect party punch.
  • Add orange slices, apple slices, or pomegranate seeds to play up the orange flavor and red fruit.
  • Make it the night before and let the flavors build overnight for max impact.
