Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Measuring Cup
  • Shot Glass

Ingredients

  • 2- ounce silver tequila
  • ¼ cup pineapple juice
  • 1- ounce triple sec
  • 1- ounce margarita mix or 2 parts lime juice and 1-part simple syrup
  • Salt for rimming (optional)

Instructions

  • If rimming your glass, rub the edge with a lime wedge, then dip in salt.
  • Add ice to a cocktail shaker and pour in tequila, pineapple juice, triple sec and margarita mix.
  • Shake well until chilled then strain into a glass with ice.

Notes

  • Use chilled ingredients for a crisper drink.
  • Shake long enough that the mix is cold and well blended. The cocktail shaker should feel cold after about 20 seconds, and you know it is ready!
  • Rimming your glass adds flavor as well as visual appeal.
  • Whenever possible always use freshly squeezed lime juice for best freshness.
  • Using ice in your glass helps to keep it cold without watering down.
