Equipment

  • Measuring Cups if needed
  • Platter for serving

Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 ½ cups pulled pork or more if desired
  • 1 ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 ½ cup coleslaw

Instructions

  • Assemble sliders with about 2 tablespoons of pulled pork on the bottom bun, 1-2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce, then 2 tablespoons of creamy coleslaw. Then add the top bun and enjoy.
  • Alternatively, assemble the pork sandwiches on a baking sheet, and brush the top of the rolls with melted butter, cover them in aluminum foil and toast them until golden brown in the oven for 15 minutes at 350F.

Notes

  • Warm the Pulled Pork: If you aren't making the pork fresh, reheat the in a pan on the stovetop before assembling for the best texture.
  • Toast the Rolls (Optional): Lightly toasting the buns until golden brown before or after adds a nice crunch and prevents sogginess.
  • Assembly Tip: Whenever possible, put these together when you are ready to serve. You can also keep them in a warm oven for a little while prior to.
  • Fresh Hawaiian Rolls: The more fresh they are, the more it helps with the buns from getting soggy too quickly.
  • Refrigerator: For the best texture, store the pulled pork, coleslaw, and buns separately. Leftover assembled sliders can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days, though the buns will soften over time.
  • Freezer: Freeze pulled pork separately in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before using.
  • Reheating: Warm the pulled pork on the stovetop or in the microwave before assembling.
  • Make Ahead: Prepare the pulled pork and coleslaw ahead of time and assemble the sliders just before serving.
