Ingredients
This simple mocktail comes together with just a handful of ingredients while delivering the signature bittersweet flavor of a classic Aperol Spritz.

See the recipe card below for the exact quantities of each ingredient.
- Non-Alcoholic Aperitif: Provides the signature bittersweet orange and herbal flavors that make this drink instantly recognizable. We used an Italian Aperitivo from Lapo's, from The Zero Proof.
- Non-Alcoholic Prosecco: Adds light bubbles and a crisp, dry finish. Adds light bubbles and a crisp, dry finish. I like using non-alcoholic prosecco, but any non-alcoholic sparkling wine works just as well.
- Choose a dry variety rather than a sweet sparkling wine.
- Orange Bitters: Just a few drops deepen the citrus flavor and add complexity.
- Club Soda: Lightens the drink while adding extra sparkle and refreshment.
For this easy recipe, all you will need is a large wine glass and measuring cups.
Variations
- Garnishes: A fresh orange slice, orange peel, or sprig of rosemary adds a beautiful finishing touch and a little extra aroma.
- Club Soda: Swap the club soda for sparkling mineral water if you prefer a slightly different fizz.
- Citrus Twist: Add a splash of blood orange juice for a sweeter, more vibrant citrus flavor.
- Sparkling Water: Try a lightly flavored sparkling water for a subtle variation that won't overpower the drink.
- Fresh Herbs: Rosemary or thyme make an easy garnish that adds a fresh aroma and an elegant presentation.
How to Make an Aperol Spritz Mocktail
Mix yourself up this refreshing drink by following these simple steps below.
Add ice cubes in, about halfway, to a large white wine glass or balloon glass (you may want more for a larger glass).
You can start with the prosecco, but I like to put in the aperitif first. Pour in 2 ounces of non-alcoholic aperitif, 3 ounces of any non-alcoholic prosecco or sparkling white wine, a few drops of orange bitters (I use Angostura), then top it off with an ounce of club soda.
Garnish with a fresh slice of orange and enjoy.
Hint: Use plenty of ice to keep the drink cold without watering it down too quickly.

Recipe Tips
- Prosecco: Choose a dry non-alcoholic prosecco for a flavor that's closest to a traditional Aperol Spritz.
- Stirring: Stir gently after pouring to keep the bubbles light and refreshing.
- Chill: Chill all of the ingredients beforehand so the drink stays cold without needing too much ice.
- Glass: Serve in a large wine glass to show off its vibrant color and leaves plenty of room for ice and garnishes.

Club soda lightens the drink and adds extra effervescence, creating the refreshing finish that's characteristic of a classic spritz.
A large wine glass is traditional because it leaves plenty of room for ice, bubbles, and an orange garnish.
